The Republic of Palau and the United States will co-host the 7th Our Ocean Conference on April 13-14, 2022.
The Conference will be a key moment for countries, civil society, and industry to commit to concrete and significant actions to protect the ocean. Throughout the six previous conferences, participants have made more than 1,400 commitments worth approximately $91.4 billion and protected at least five million square miles of ocean.

The Office of Climate Change (OCC) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Environment (MAFE) is hosting a hybrid Inception Workshop for project partners and stakeholders to discuss the development of the Third National Communications project as well as Palau Climate Change Policy and GEF6 project updates and next steps.
OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP
- Present overviews and updates to the Palau Climate Change Policy and Third National Communications Projects, along with its alignment with GEF6 projects.
- Synergize the work in these three respective projects and bring together our partners to discuss strategies and outcomes that will pave a way forward for Palau’s climate change efforts.
